Route rating
(0) ReviewsA off road route to Princetown along the old railway line mtb cyclepath to Princetown. After a well deserved lunch stop we will look at the Old Princetown Church of St Michael and All Angels. We then return by road to rejoin the cyclepath near Burrator.
The route up to Princetown is an off road railway path. It is suitable for mountainbikes and bikes with wide tyres like ebikes gravelbikes etc. However unlike the plym valley cyclepath this surface is rough and stony. On our return we will come down the main B3212 to Yelverton coming off at a bridlepath just after the railway bridge.
It would be nice to stop at Foggin Tor Quarry and also visit Princetown Church after Lunch. THere is a short cut along the railway path that we can use if the rough track is too tedious. It would be nice to visit the American Cemetery but permission has to be granted on the day as we need to be escorted on Prison Land.
Helmet, waterproof, snack bar, water, money, phone and a pump and innertube are advised
We never leave anyone behind
