A big thankyou to Peter, Tom and John from the Broughton Cycling Group for kindly helping to set up this Bank Holiday weekend ride and volunteering to guide us . This ride is on the scenic roads out towards Woburn and Woburn Sands , and is a popular route for cyclists. I have been informed that some of the the hills are 'challenging' . The route takes us through villages like Salford, Aspley Guise, Husborne Crawley, Woburn and Woburn Sands, with 1000 ft of ascent along the way (see map for more details) . Paul PS If you fancy doing another ride, there is also the option of cycling the Millennium Redways route (17 miles) at 230pm on the same day (going from the same meet point). We'll find somewhere to grab a bite to eat after our Woburn ride. Please sign up to this separately ( some folk may just want to do this ride in the afternoon and not the more challenging Woburn Safari Ride). However, please note that part of the Redways are rather uneven/bump and may not be very suitable for racing bikes with narrow/slick tyres, so please take this into account if you are doing the Woburn ride AND the Millennium Redways ride
