Greystoke Cycle Cafe, Johnby, Cumbria

Join us for a leisurely 12.5 mile ride from Greystoke Cycle Cafe.  This will be a gentle ride on the road exploring the area around Greystoke Forest, near Penrith.  We will finish with a cake and coffee at the Cycle Cafe in Greystoke, a well earned reward. This ride will be suitable for all abilities; the route is all on good tarmac roads and will be suitable for all bike types. We will start from the cycle cafe in Greystoke.  There is no parking here but there if a free car park in the centre of the village which is a 2 minute cycle away. We will cycle along quiet B roads.  During the ride we will pass through the hamlets of Berrier, Thanet Well, Johnby and then return to Greystoke.  There are stunning views of both the Pennines and the Lake District Fells on this route.  We will always ride at the pace of the slowest rider so no one is left behind.  Our aim is for everyone to enjoy their ride and to enjoy their cake at the end. Remember to wear clothes that are comfortable to cycle in.  It is a good idea to bring a waterproof jacket and a bottle of water.  We always recommend that you wear a cycle helmet.
