Starting point

Northamptonshire

22 miles of quiet country lanes, beautiful scenery and a great little hidden gem of a coffee/cake stop at Naseby (at the Old Vicarage) . The route will head through Church Brampton, Holdenby, Teeton, Guilsborough, Thornby , stiopping for a drink/snack at Naseby. The route back will go through Haselbech, and Cottersbrooke. There will be some challenging hills though ,hence why I have put this ride into the 'Challenging' category....... but if you can comfortably manage 20 miles, then you should be able to do this ( I had to pick a ride category, but this one sits between 'Steady and 'Challenging' I think ). We will go at a leisurely 'Bank Holiday' pace, with rest/recovery stops at the top of all the tough hills :-) . Towards the end of the ride there will be the choice of joining the Brampton Valley way for 4 miles, or if you have slick road bike tyres then you might prefer to branch off through Creaton when you reach Cottersbrooke, and then pick up the Welford Road for 4 miles (but this can be a busy road with fast moving traffic).I would imagine most will want to do the BVW option shown on the map :-)
