Temple Newsam Longest Day and Big Breeze Bike Ride Celebration

This is a women-only 5 mile route around Temple Newsam Park in Leeds. Join us to celebrate the longest day and the Big Breeze Bike Ride with this early morning bike ride before work. It’s a 5-mile route that follows newly refurbished cycleway/bridleway around the park plus park paths. It starts on flat wide paths, moves onto bridleway through lovely forest, ends with a pootle up a hill alongside the golf course and round the park.  The route includes up and downhill gentles route and a section of off-road that is suitable for bikes path (ideal first off-road route for anyone that hasn't been confident off-road in the past).   It’s a really pretty route and you might like to bring your camera! Suitable for hybrid, mountain bikes, shopping bikes and tourers.  Not appropriate for road bikes. Wearing a helmet is advisable; if you don’t have one please do not to worry you can still take part.  If you enjoy the bike ride and would like to come again perhaps you could look to buy one then.  Under 18s MUST WEAR a helmet. Your bike must be in roadworthy working order, with tyres pumped up. Please bring your own refreshments as the cafe won't be open at that time in the morning!
