Newbury Racecourse

Update: we will meet at 8 at the Breeze stand at the Racecourse that will be up hopefully by then. We'll need to register and collect numbers etc and then we'll set off once everyone is ready - probably about 8.30. Please note that this ride is described as challenging only because it is over 20 miles. As always, we will go at the pace of the slowest rider and not leave anyone behind. As part of the Wiggle Magnificat ride from Newbury Racecourse, there is also a ladies only 26 mile ride. This leaves Newbury Racecourse and heads down to Highclere before heading across to Kingsclere and then up to Brimpton before returning to the Racecourse. I am happy for anyone who wants to, to join me on this ride, as part of the Magnificat, if you would prefer to ride as a group. I have entered already. The idea is that we will stay together as a group as we go round the course, to hopefully provide a more fun and social ride for this event. You will need to book your place (£18 pre-registration), and there may be registration on the day. But the event may sell out and it will cost an extra £3 to register on the day. There is plenty of advice on the website about what to take and there will be a feed station along the way. It would be sensible though to take extra food and drinks as extra energy boosts are sometimes required to get up the hills! Please follow the link below to the website, and please feel free to contact me if you have any more questions ([email protected] 0758928316). http://www.ukcyclingevents.co.uk/events/wiggle-magnificat-sportive/#event_booking
