Starting point

SK22 4BP

New Mills Leisure Centre Car Park, Hyde Bank Road, New Mills, SK22 4BP.

Join me for a gentle ride along the traffic-free Sett Valley Trail, which follows the route of the former railway from New Mills to Hayfield. After riding along the tree-lined route with views up to Lantern Pike we’ll stop for tea and cake at a lovely cafe in Hayfield (Rosie's) before returning via the same route.

You'll need a roadworthy bike, a helmet, comfortable clothing and shoes plus a waterproof jacket. Please bring some money for the cafe (or your own refreshements) and a bike lock, if you have one.

There are regular trains from Sheffield/Manchester to New Mills Central station. Parking is available in the leisure centre car park or opposite the car park on Hyde Bank Road.

Please arrive 10-15 minutes early to allow time for bike checks and introductions. We will set off at 10.30am. Don’t forget…. Breeze are on a mission to spread the word about their rides, and need your help. If you introduce one friend who goes on to take part in a Breeze ride, you’ll receive a Breeze water bottle, introduce a second friend, you’ll be the proud owner of one of their swish Breeze Buffs, and introduce a third friend and Breeze will send you £15 of Love2Shop vouchers.
