Solihull Breeze-Fish, Whales and Planes

  This 12 mile circular route passes by an amazing variety of landmarks, including a golf course and fishing lake, Whale tankers, under the flight path into Birmingham airport, over the scenic M42- and mostly on relatively traffic-free lanes and paths! Riding at 9-10 mph, this ride is suitable for ladies who are getting confident on their bikes and want to improve their speed and distance over the summer. We start out from the delightful real ale pub The Bulls Head in Barston, where there is free parking and a warm welcome on our return for those that wish to join us for a drink after the ride. Don't forget to bring a carrot for the resident donkey! As part of this ride is by the lake on a gravel path, hybrid or mountain bikes are ESSENTIAL for this ride.  Please bring lights and hi-viz clothing just in case of any unexpected delays, although we should be back well before it gets dark.
