Kings Heath Park to Birmingham Skyride

Come and be part of Birmingham’s cycle revolution!  Join us on this ride which will link with the Birmingham Skyride! We will start from Kings Heath park, at the car park accessed via Vicarage Road. We will cycle at a gentle pace through the park, and then down the hill onto the River Rea cycle route to Cannon Hill Park.  From here, we will start the Birmingham Skyride and complete one circuit together finishing at the Breeze gazebo, where there will be an opportunity to meet the Breeze team and other women riders.  You are welcome to complete further circuits at your own pace.   Sky Rides are big, fun events which take over a town or city centre so lots of cyclists of all ages and abilities can ride safely together on a traffic-free route. They’re a great day out for families, with loads to do both on and off a bike.  You will need to register separately for the Birmingham Skyride at:  http://www.goskyride.com/BirminghamSkyRide  This ride is suitable for all bike types. You will need to be sufficiently confident to be able to ride down a fairly steep hill (Avenue Rd / Dad's Lane) on the road. You will also need to make your own way home after the Skyride.  This should be a really fun day, and we very much welcome newcomers as well as regular riders.  Please arrive at 9.45 for introductions and bike checks.  We will leave at 10am prompt.
