Bike packing/touring shakedown ride out

A steady but challenging ride loaded up the Plymouth trail, on to Clearbrook and Yelverton

Dust off your bike packing/touring kit, join me for a series of loaded rides in preparation for your own adventures. We will ride at a steady pace in a small group, stopping for a leisurely “Shakedown” . Taking time on route to adjust, rearrange your bags, well stop somewhere near Yelverton to put tents up, have a brew and generally have a faff with your kit without the neighbours thinking you’ve lost the plot! A time to exchange ideas over a cuppa . The rides will naturally take longer with weighted bikes so please allow most of your day. Our return time depends on you and how long you take at the shakedown stop but no later than 4pm If there’s interest we can do more Shakedown rides and an overnight camp at a later date. DATES Monday 1st JUNE - Yelverton Thursday 4th JUNE - Yelverton or Burrator (group to decide) Monday 8th JUNE - Burrator or Tavistock (group to decide)

Routes will cover most terrains you're likely to experience and increasing in distance. We will riding from on the Plym trail, quite roads and lanes. meeting and finishing at Coypool park and ride

We'll putting up our tents and have a brew on the moors away from main roads. With this in mind we will stop at Yelverton for a comfort break if needed.

We won't be stopping at a cafe' so bring a flask or your camping stove for a brew.

If this is your first time riding load please drop me a message. for most of the group it will be their first ride out loaded this year.
