An intermediate ride of approximately 11 miles mostly along residential roads and lanes. This route is gently undulating with superb views on clear days of the Clent Hills and beyond. It does mean a few climbs and these can be walked if preferred and still has the advantage of rolling descents as well. The route will cross a number of busy roads where care will need to be taken. It will pass through Churchill and Broome on the way to Clent Nurseries at Holy Cross where there will be a refreshment break.
The return journey will take a track (quite uneven in places) that is a bridle way through the grounds of a nursing home to reach Hagley and then there will be a short section along a busy road before returning to Mary Stevens Park along quiet residential roads.
A request for a £1.50 donation will be asked from riders as it is delivered through Age UK Dudley (Charity No. 1084182)
It’s a good idea to bring some water, snack to keep you going and money for if we stop at a cafe.
Wearing a helmet is advisable; if you don’t have one please do not to worry you can still take part. If you enjoy the bike ride and would like to come again perhaps you could look to buy one then.
We really welcome newcomers to our rides; we will always ride at the pace of the slowest rider so no one is left behind.
Look forward to seeing you there.
Don’t forget…. Breeze are on a mission to spread the word about their rides, and need your help. If you introduce one friend who goes on to take part in a Breeze ride, you’ll receive a Breeze water bottle, introduce a second friend, you’ll be the proud owner of one of their swish Breeze Buffs, and introduce a third friend and Breeze will send you £15 of Love2Shop vouchers.
