York to Buttercrambe Woods

This ride will be a steady pace, but over a reasonable distance.  This ride will take us out of York along a section of cycle route 65 cutting through Osbaldwick, and out towards the countryside to the east of York. Our loop through the countryside will take us on quiet country lanes through Buttercrambe Woods and through some pretty little villages including Upper Helmsley and Sand Hutton. Instead of taking a break mid-ride, we will plan to reward ourselves with coffee and cake at Your Bike Shed, the new cycling cafe on Micklegate. http://www.yourbikeshed.co.uk/ The only requirement is that you have a roadworthy bike, that you are confident riding.
