This is an off the road cycle ride along the Liverpool Loop line, which also part of route 62. The loop line is an old rail track that is now a greenway for Cyclists, which is a lovely cycle ride round the back of Liverpool, going from the South to the North. Starting at Halewood Train Station or the Halewood Enviroment Centre, we will loop round the Halewood triangle end of the Liverpool Loop Line and then go along the loop line through Gateacre, Childwall, Broadgreen, Knotty Ash, past Alder Hey Hospital, West Derby, Norris Green, Walton all the way to the A59 where the route has now being blocked (Sorry we're not going to Aintree). At this point we'll turn back and come back the way we came. With Spring coming at certain points the loop line is above Liverpool and allows you some lovely view of the city before the tree foliage comes in.
