Warwick and Leamington cycle path, canal and park ride
Free, women-only bike rides led by experienced Breeze Champions. They are a great way to get started in cycling or to improve your skills, whether you are a beginner or a seasoned cyclist.

About the route
A lovely traffic free ride taking in cycle paths, canals and parks!
Starting outside the Nuffield Health Centre at 10am we will cycle through the Warwick Gates estate on cycle paths and head towards Leamington Spa. Following the cycle path down towards Queensway we will pick up the canal and cycle all the way along to Sydenham. Exiting the canal at Sydenham we will take the back entrance to Newbold Comyn and cycle through the nature reserve and then onwards through the park.
We will then continue through the Jephson Gardens where we will jump off the bikes and admire the views. Once it is permitted to cycle again we will cross over to the pump rooms and then make our way alongside the river towards Victoria Park doing a loop of the park before stopping for a well earned refreshment break. We will then head back towards the train station and pick up the cycle path all the way back to Warwick Gates.
This ride will be just under 9 miles. As we will be going along the canal a mountain bike or hybrid is recommended. Although road bikes are ok, as long as you are prepared for them to get muddy!
Please try and bring a spare inner tube in case of any punctures (I can fix them for you if necessary). Also some change for the cafe and warm layers including gloves!
The Nuffield Health Centre has kindly given permission for non members to use the car park if you are driving with your bike to take part in the ride.
