Harrogate

Come and join us on this lovely ride starting and finishing in Harrogate centre, the finish point for this year’s first stage of the Tour de France in Yorkshire.  This ride takes us away from the busy town and in to the beautiful surrounding countryside.  The highlight and midpoint of the ride is the National Trust site Brimham Rocks where we will have the chance to explore the amazing collection of weird and wonderful rock formations and magnificent views over Nidderdale before heading back to Harrogate and completing this circular route.  At 23 miles and a bit of a climb up to Brimham Rocks everybody should be prepared to bring their cycling legs, however at a nice gentle riding pace it can be enjoyed by all. For more information on Brimham Rocks please click on the link below. https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/brimham-rocks/ Join us on some amazing rides, created in association with our friends at the National Trust. Make the most of some beautiful countryside, and great facilities for cyclists. You don’t have to be the next Bradley Wiggins, but you’ll need to know your way around a bike and be fairly fit to take part in our Challenging rides. If you’re comfortable riding with other people and fancy a fresh challenge, these rides are perfect for you. They start at around twenty miles long, and are paced at between 11 and 12 miles an hour. ©National Trust Images / Paul Harris
