Choir Hall

Meet Choir Hall at 10am All types of bikes will be suitable for this ride – it will be all on the road. This will be quite a tough ride with a difficulty rating of 4/5. Steep hills on the route at Shirenewton (7.1%), Devauden (8.1%), St. Arvans (10.3%), Chepstow (6.4%) and Parkwall (8%). Route – leave the Choir Hall and head for Caerwent, taking the A48 to Crick. Ascend the drag up to Shirenewton before dropping down to Bully Hole Bottom before climbing up to Itton and then Devauden. Drop through the woods following the Angiddy river to Tintern and onwards to Brockweir. Following the usual photo opportunity on the quayside, make the short ride to the Old Station Cafe in Tintern before climbing back through the woods to the Devauden road and onwards to St. Arvans. From there climb up to Larkfield roundabout in Chepstow before dropping down Dark Hill to Mathern. Onwards over Parkwall Hill and back to Caldicot.
