BS4 3HQ

Please meet by the children's play area in Arnos Vale Park (just behind the Arnos Manor Hotel off the Bath Road). There is a Sainsbury's a few minutes walk away if you need to change/toilets etc.

We’ll be riding out to Chew Lake and back from Brislington/Knowle. We’ll set off from the playground in Arnos Vale park and ride along the cycle path towards Whitchurch. Then we head over to Chew Stoke on some fairly quiet country lanes with lovely views across the Chew Valley. We’ll stop for tea and cake at a café near the lake before heading to Chew Magna and then retracing our tracks back to Arnos Vale park. This ride is ideal for women who already commute by bike/women who do regular exercise/anyone who wants a 20-mile bike ride with tea and cake in the middle. The route isn’t flat but the hills are gradual rather than brutal! We’ll aim for 10-12 mph but no-one will be left behind. A road bike or a hybrid with slick (not knobbly) tyres would be best for this ride. Wearing a helmet is advisable, though not essential. Please bring some money if you want tea and cake. If the weather is icy/raining heavily then we will cancel, so look out for updates – otherwise we’ll ride. Wear lots of layers! We’ll set off at 9.30am, so please arrive 10 minutes early for a quick bike check. If you’ve any further questions please contact me via email ([email protected]) or by phone (07894207310). l look forward to seeing you there! Emma
