Starting point

PR1 4LX

Frenchwood Recreation Ground, Avenham Park, Preston, PR1 4LX We’ll meet at the Frenchwood car park near Christ the King Catholic Maths and Computing College. If you’re coming by car it’s off London Road following the river onto the Boulevard.  The car park is at the bottom on the left.

This ride follows a pretty route through Avenham and Miller Parks where we can take in views of the old cobbled bridge.

We'll meet at the Frenchwood car park for a warm up and a quick bike check. Then we’ll head out alongside the River Ribble.  We’ll have time for swift refreshments in the continental and a good chat to finish off the ride!

This is a gentle ride on a mostly traffic free route. It’s perfect for beginners and anyone who’s not been on a bike for a while. We really welcome newcomers to our rides and it’s a great way to meet new friends and keep fit. It's a good idea to bring some water and you may also want to bring a snack. Wearing a helmet is advisable; if you don’t have one please do not to worry you can still take part.  If you enjoy the bike ride and would like to come again perhaps you could look to buy one then.  We will be running this ride weekly unless stated. Please bring some money if you want to buy refreshments. We’ll look forward to seeing you there!
