Bay Cycles Lumpy Bumpy (Comic Relief) Breeze Ride - Torbay

For one week only and in support of Breeze Torbay Comic Relief fundraising effort the Lumpy Bumpy will start from Bay Cycles at the later time of 1300. In addition, we will also only be completing one loop of the Lumpy Bumpy before heading across to the Torbay Velopark to support the Comic Relief Mass Participation Ride. Therefore, as usual we will start with a gentle descent to Anstey's Cove before heading up Ilsham Marine Drive and back down to Meadfoot beach. From Meadfoot we will take a steady climb up to Daddyhole Plain before making our way down to the stunning views over The Living Coast. There we will take a short breather before a steady rise up through the quiet roads of the Lincombes & Wellswood before looping back to Babbacombe via quieter back roads to Bay Cycles for some well deserved complimentary refreshments. Once back at Bay Cycles and refreshed, for those that wish to continue onto the Velopark we will head off taking a direct route down the Babbacombe road to Torquay seafront and follow the coast road into Paignton before making our way to the Velopark and joining other Breeze riders for the Mass participation ride starting at 1500. The ride is suitable for beginners and regular riders with a reasonable level of fitness with newcomers always welcome. There will however be some main road riding for the journey over to the Velopark and therefore this section may not be suitable for less confident riders. You will require a drink for the ride, inner tube and pump just in case of a puncture and riders under 18 years will also require a helmet. And of course a RED NOSE!
