Breeze Daventry Leisure Lakes Saturday Ride

A pleasant steady ride of just under 12 miles starting at the Daventry Leisure Lakes Store, heading out to a rural ride, taking in local villages, and providing lovely open views on fairly quiet roads in a circular route back to the Leisure Lakes Store. The ride follows the cycle path out of Daventry and then onto quiet country roads through the village of Welton towards the medieval Watford Village, crossing the Grand Union Canal several times, over gently rolling hills to Long Buckby, where there is a quaint market square, to Long Buckby Wharf and back to the Leisure Lakes store for tea and refreshments. This ride comes in at just under 12 miles so it is a good challenge for those wanting to stretch their legs that bit further and see some lovely parts of Northamptonshire that you might not have seen before! For those wanting to try a couple of hills there will be an option to extend the ride at Watford and continue to West Haddon before returning to Daventry through Long Buckby, adding a further 3 miles and some hills!
