The Beastie – 55 miles over 3 epic climbs, starting and finishing in the beautiful Dentdale valley. 1,150m of ascent. Showing off the wealth of untapped road riding in and around the picturesque Dentdale valley in the Yorkshire Dales Starting from Settle Swimming pool Car park- cross A65 - Lawkland - Eldroth - Clapham station - head towards Cold cotes - cross A65 - clapham Ingleton back road - Ingleton - Marton Arms - turn R - Kingsdale - drop into Dent - head out in direction of Sedbergh - turn L to Barbon - (tea room - Church mouse) - Cowan bridge - L and back road to A65 - head for Burton in Lonsdale- turn L before village and head to Upper westhouse - descend to Ingleton - Clapham - Austwick - Wharfe - Settle - Gigg. Approx 55miles with plenty of ascending and descending. Tea stop compulsory so bring some pennies, appropriate clothing and kit for the outing.
