Big Breeze Bike Ride - Middleton-One-Row - Yarm Circular

BIG Breeze Ride - Middleton One Row – Yarm Circular Join us on one of the many Big Breeze Rides happening in the UK on the 23rd/24th June weekend, to encourage as many women as we can to cycle! We are taking our bikes round a pleasant and varied circular route through a mixture of quiet farmland and bustling small towns & villages. This ride offers some great views of the River Tees and Teesdale Countryside; you get to see all this with the ‘breeze’ in your hair. Road or mountain and hybrids welcome for this 13 mile ride. Few rolling hills up and down along the quiet country lanes (use of gears will be useful). We will pass through low Middleton and Aislaby to bring us to Yarm and the picturesque sights of the old railway viaduct. Then we loop round passing through Long Newton , a quiet village , and up to a farm land, joining a section of the NCN 14, before we return to Middleton One Row for a well earned drink at the Devon Port Hotel or outside overlooking the River Tees and Lush greenery - to enjoy home-made cake. :)  Getting there: Nearest train station is Dinsdale (3mins bike ride away), get off platform and turn left/down the road, following until you can turn left into Middleton One Row. Trains from Darlington side , get into Dinsdale at 9.50, 10.20, Trains from Middlesbrough side get into Dinsdale at 9.27, 10.27. I will be cycling from Eaglescliff/Yarm Tesco’s (which is about mid-way round the route), if anyone is coming by bike and wants to make their journey longer. Setting off at 09.30am.
