Breeze 50K & 100K Challenge Training – Tour of Pendle and Ribble Valley

This 60K / 37 mile ride takes a circular route from Pendle Heritage Ct, Barrowford. After a gentle start we climb over Barrowford Road (Padiham bypass) and drop towards Read. Through Read and on to Whalley. We’ll turn off towards Wiswell and head towards the A59. Following the A59 we’ll travel through Gisburn and onto Barnoldswick heading towards Yorkshire and Broughton. At the roundabout we’ll then turn back towards Colne and the mile climb up to the village of Thornton. Passing through Earby and Foulridge well head to Colne on what will be part of Septembers stage 2 of the “Tour of Britain” route. Tracing our way through the country lanes we’ll head back to the Heritage ct and the end of a testing ride. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the “Ride Start Time” as we will always do a cycle and clothing check. The “Ride Start Time” is 10:30 am We always ride at a pace to suit the group, so don't be put off if you feel a bit nervous or rusty, we've all been there! I advise you to dress to suit the weather on the day. Its always a good idea to bring a drink with you. Helmets are not compulsory but I advise if you have one to bring it with you. A spare inner tube or repair kit is also a good addition to your kit.
