Tour de Crawley - Ifield Mill

Tour de Crawley via Ifield Mill Come and join me on this varied route around Crawley. We will make use of some of the many shared use paths and quiet roads in Crawley, that are part of the National Cycle Network or recommended cycle routes through the town, passing through Furnace Green to the town centre, Goffs Park and Gossops Green. We will stop about halfway at Ifield Watermill, for a quick look round as it is open for the last time this year on Sunday afternoon. Please bring a snack and a drink as there are no refreshments available at the mill. We will continue through Ifield, West Green and Northgate and back via Pound Hill to Maidenbower for a drink or snack together at Stepney's cafe in the pavilion. The nearest toilets are in Maidenbower Pavilion at the start of the ride. Please note that the entrance into the public car park at the Maidenbower Pavilion has a height barrier – if you carry your bike on the roof of the car, alternative parking is available at the Maidenbower shops opposite the park. Don't forget suitable clothing, a drink, spare inner tube, puncture repair kit and a pump (and any medication you may require). Please give your bikes tyres, brakes and gears a check over before you come along and consider a service if you haven't used it recently! Wearing a helmet is advisable. We welcome beginners. This time the ride is for women (over 16) only, but please let me know if you would be interested in a similar ride with children in the future.
