This ride will follow exactly the same route as the Stevenage Glow Ride taking place later on the same day.
This daylight ride is a great way to appreciate our segregated cycleways, a great way to get around Stevenage for everyday journeys as well as leisure.
We will head out from the Town Centre and cycle up the cycleway next to Six Hills Way. We then detour to complete a loop around Fairlands Valley Park with views of the large lake and trees with their Autumn colours.
Continuing up Six Hills Way we will use the link behind Barham Road to join the Gresley Way cycleway heading south following Aston End Brook past the Poplars centre, Ridlins stadium and then through Ridlins Wood.
The tree lined Broadhall Way cycleway takes us back to Roaring Meg then we use Monkswood Way to return to the Town Centre passing through the underpasses with “Wheels” and “Stevenage photos” artwork.
After the ride there are plenty of places to find drinks and snacks in the Town Centre.
Riders will gather at Event Island for the Glow Ride itself from 6pm ready to depart at 6.30pm. Find out more about the Glow Ride - and register to join - at

A traffic-free route on the Stevenage cycleways.
There will be short section where we will need to walk and push cycles to avoid a busy road crossing.
