Starting point

Meet in the car park by the river at Rowntree Park
Terry Avenue
York
North Yorkshire
YO23 1JQ

York

Starting at Rowntree Park this is a chance to see the area outside and surrounding York on this great route. The route goes past both the old and new sections of the University, then steers off the beaten track by joining Route 66 from Dunnington towards Stamford Bridge. Upon leaving route 66 there is a chance to have a well earned cup of tea and slice of cake at The Balloon Tree. The route heads back through many scenic villages such as Warthill, Murton and Upper Helmsley, where the beauty of the houses and architecture can be admired before heading back to Route 66 and the University again. The route finishes by going over Millenium Bridge back towards Rowntree Park.
