Starting from - We will meet at the cafe in Hove Park (tucked behind the tennis courts and next to the public toilets). The cafe will be open before we start, so you can arrive early for a drink and a natter with the other riders if you don't want to be rushing beforehand. If driving, there is parking opposite Hove Park in the retail park (TKMaxx and ToysRUs) or on the residential streets around Hove Park. Flat seafront route using cycle paths and quiet roads. Our 'Thursday Thrust' rides are intended to be relatively pacy, as training rides for women building their fitness or getting ready for a sportive or challenge ride. Therefore we would expect riders to have a road bike (dropped handlebars and skinny tyres) and be able to maintain a reasonable speed (12 to 14mph) for most of the ride. Whilst there are no hills, headwinds towards Worthing can be hard work (but make for a speedy return home!) Please check your bike before you head out: Are the tyres fully inflated?
