Mainly offroad, this leisurely ride takes us from our start point of St Helens Road, which runs parallel to the Rainford Bypass (A570), an immediate left turn on the bypass after crossing Windle Island traffic lights towards Rainford. We then meander to the outskirts of Rainford on the cycle path of the bypass joining the Rainford Linear Park. We then cycle on good paths alongside arable farmland, through woods and green spaces, circumnavigating Rainford itself, we head back to our start-point, before which we take a well-earned break at Inglenook Farm (formerly the Lavender Farm) where a warm welcome and delicious home-cooked food awaits!
