Mells to Radstock & back (via Route 24)

This is an almost completely traffic-free, 10 mile, route along the picturesque Sustrans Route 24 (the Colliers Way) from Mells Village shop to Radstock & back. This is also a fairly flat route (there is a gentle hill up from the village shop) & is ideal for those of you who aren’t yet confident enough to cycle in traffic The cycle path lends itself to a more sociable ride environment, where you can safely ride in pairs & chat to the other cyclists on the ride. Post-ride there will be an opportunity to go for a drink & cake (or lunch!) at the Mells Village Shop for those of you who want to. This ride is suitable for all types of bikes & speed of riders. The pace will be adjusted to include everyone in the group; it is a social ride after all! This ride isn’t recommended for anyone who hasn’t ridden recently, due to the mileage. If you chose to drive to the ride start, there is usually ample road-side parking. I will run this ride again, so don’t worry if there isn’t an available place for you this time. Please bring a drink, snack to keep you going and money for refreshments. You are also advised to bring an extra layer, gloves and waterproof. Look forward to seeing you there.
