A day out to Exmouth and Exeter Canals.

Starting point

Meeting at the free RSPB car park: on Station road Exminster. after passing the Swans Nest Pub on the right go over the bridge the entrance to the car park is 180right turn ( slightly hidden) if you see warehouse to your left you went to far.

Come and join us on this friendly easy going (9-11mph) ride on beautiful and scenic route (suitable for any bike) which will take you from Exminster to Exmouth along the water canals and through Topsham, it’s a fairly flat route with two short inclines, .
The ride will start from the Free RSPB car park in Exminster EX6-8DZ, entrance is a very tight right turn after the Swans Nest Pub. (please see photo attached of Google map for direction to enter this location)
You will need to be confident in riding on roads as we go though Topsham and Exmouth traffic but the majority of the ride will be on traffic free route along the canals and Exmouth estuary.
We will stop for lunch/ refreshments in Exmouth so please bring some money with you or your preferred snack. Later on a visit to Exeter quay where we will have a short stop for the “Breeze must have” coffee cake before heading home.
Please make sure your bike is in good working order for the ride and you have a spare inner tube with a pump and tools to repair a flat tyre. If you have any room left for jokes laughs and good sense of humour please bring it along with you.
For safety reasons all participants will be expected to wear a helmet. We are looking forward in seeing you on this exiting ride, please bring suitable clothing according to the weather (which is going to be sunny and fabulous....we hope of course but fun is guaranteed.
