We leave Chippy on the Churchill Rd and turn right through Cornwell to Chastleton and Little Compton. From here we climb up my favourite lane and down again to Barton on the Heath and on down along the beautiful Warwickshire tarmac to Long Compton. We will earn our refreshments climbing up the hill and down again via the gated road to Stourton and Chetington to The Straw Kitchen at Whichford. Fortified we climb up again towards Great Rollright, and pass the Rollright Stones to come back to Chippy via Little Rollright and Over Norton.

This is a beautiful but quite demanding route through Cotswold villages

The route is mostly along delightful quiet country lanes, but does include 3 or 4 hills.

We aim to stop at the Straw Kitchen in Whichford for refreshement

be sure to bring a roadworthy bike, a helmet and a spare inner tube plus funds for refreshments

We especially welcome newbies with some cycling experience for this ride. Tomorrow we have a beginners ride planned.
