A Mental Health Awareness Week Celebration Ride

To celebrate this year's Mental Health Week we be traveling along the traffic free Allerdale coastline.

All our leisure E-bike riding members are especially welcomed.

On this ride we will be cycling fully along the coastline.

We will start our ride from Maryport Harbour South Quay, Maryport CA15 8AB, opposite The Maryport Aquarium. Follow along the traffic free promenade towards the golf course, once passed the club house we will be crossing the road on foot before continuing to travel along the now fully tarmacked cycle path to Allonby Beach.

On arrival in Allonby we will be able to use the public toilets near Allonby green, which will also be our turn around point for the ride ;)
On our return journey to Maryport we will be calling in at a local Cafe for take-out drinks, ice creams or tray bakes.

As always we travel at the slowest rider's speed with encouragement & support, so no one is ever left behind.

Please remember to bring a lock for your bike for our cafe stop, some money or a contactless card if you wish to purchase refreshments on the ride.

You will also need to bring a road worthy bike, your helmet, clothes you are comfortable cycling in, easy to remove layers work the best, a waterproof jacket, (as you never know) & a cold drink for along the way if needed.

Don't forget to bring with you & carry your own repair kit containing spares to include a spare complete inner tube that fits your bike, a set of tyre levers and a hand pump are the minimum required.

Although Covid restrictions have been lifted can everyone joining the ride also be Covid considerate towards their fellow riders, please do not attend if you have any Covid symptoms, have someone in your household who does or if you have been in recent contact with someone who has Covid. Cancelling your place is never a problem, just let us know online before the ride so that we are not waiting for you unnecessarily especially if it's raining.
