There are Places I Remember – Travel in the footsteps of The Beatles.

The Beatles were the most influential pop band of all time, and today, more than fifty years after they split up, they are synonymous with Liverpool and the famous Merseybeat sound.

On this ride, we will start at the cafe in Sefton Park, and make our way first to the Dingle area and then to the south of the city through parks and quiet streets.

On the route we will see the houses and places that shaped the Beatles’ early life and inspired some of the greatest pop songs of all time.

We will stop at the Calderstones Park Reading Room halfway round for refreshments.

This is part of a series of six short winter rides, led by a qualified Liverpool tour guide. The rides will each cover a different aspect of the heritage and history of our wonderful city of Liverpool. The shorter distances are ideal for the winter weather!

All the six rides in this series will be on a mixture of traffic-free paths and roads, so participants need to be confident riding in traffic and using their gears to climb some uphill roads. However, we will only be riding at a speed of around 10mph with plenty of opportunities to stop, to view and learn about the sites on the routes. So, the rides are great for anyone who is new to riding in a group, new to the city or just wanting to get out and about and learn a bit about Liverpool.

We will stop at the Calderstones Park Reading Room halfway round for refreshments.

Any roadworthy bike is fine. Warm and weather-proof clothing is required as it is Winter!! Please bring a drink and a spare inner tube that fits your bike's wheels.

We never leave anyone behind
