ABC Family Ride - Ancholme, Brigg Cadney (and Howsham)

This is a steady ride suitable for families - we will ride at the pace of the slowest, so no one will be left behind.

Come and join us on this lovely 9 mile spin. We'll head out of Brigg on a quiet road alongside the Ancholme to Cadney and then on to Howsham. You might see a hare, a heron, swans, or maybe a seal!!! There'll be time to stop for a drink and a snack (cake/ icecream/ bacon butty) at Clayton's Corner cafe, so please bring money for this if required, before returning to Brigg along the same route.

Ideal for those looking to re-discover cycling or introduce children to group rides– it's as easy as ABC(H)!

Please arrive 15 minutes before the ride start time to allow for introductions and safety checks. If you have any specific medical requirements which may be relevant to the ride, please ensure the ride leader is aware of them at the start of the ride – feel free to have a quiet word.

You will need to bring a drink, perhaps a snack, and definitely essentials for repairing a puncture (spare inner tube, kit, and a pump that fits your bike and that of your accompanying children). I also recommend a helmet for every participant.

Please note, under 18s MUST wear a helmet and under 16s MUST be accompanied by an adult who can be responsible for them during the ride.This is a Ride Social event and it is a condition of entry that participants are responsible for their own safety and well being. While the leaders are experienced and qualified, they do not carry liability for the safety of individuals or damage to personal belongings.
