Active Newcastle - Saturday Social - Rising Sun Country Park

Come join us on our Social Ride to Rising Sun Country Park. We will ride along Hadrian's Wall Path passing Segedunum onto Wallsend Burn and into Rising Sun Country Park. We will then head back on Coxlodge Waggonway into Paddy Freeman's Park; we will ride through Jesmond Dene Red Walk passing Heaton Park through City Stadium Park and Ouseburn Farm, arriving back at the Cycle Hub.

We ask that participants be comfortable on their bikes and riding the distance stipulated at a steady pace. There will be some hills, please see the elevation levels on the map provided. The majority of the route will be off road/on cycle path, however, we will be riding on some roads at a few points during the route. The pace of our social ride is usually between 8-10 mph; however, the pace may change depending on the group ability on the day.
