Acton Art Trail

This is a short local ride, with lots of stops to look at the street art of Acton, following the recently constructed Acton Mural Trail https://www.actonnotebook.com/actonmuraltrail . Our route takes twists and turns around the side streets and parks of the area. If you like steady continuous cycling, this might not be the ride for you. If you’re interested in discovering street art and finding corners of the local area that you didn’t know existed, you’ll have a great morning.

Some of the works are familiar to us from previous Breeze rides, especially Carrie Reichardt’s Mosaic House https://carriereichardt.com/mosaic-house , the Mosaic Sofa in South Acton Park, and the Tree of Life mural https://carriereichardt.com/tree-of-life by South Acton station. However, we will also see work from other artists, mainly around South Acton and Churchfields, and including the metal sculpture of the late Jamal Edwards on Acton High Street https://www.actonnotebook.com/acton-w3-news/jamal-edwards-vigil-acton-pays-respect. We will also make a short loop around North Acton to see several murals in the unlikely setting of an industrial estate.

We will pause partway through our tour for refreshments at one of the cafes on Churchfield Road.
