Alban way wander

Starting point

We are meeting in the Abbey View Retail Park, next to the Bunnings warehouse. Parking here is free. Please arrive by 9.45 so that we can leave promptly at 10am.

This is a gentle traffic free ride suitable for women and children, along the paved alban way. This is excellent ride for anyone new to riding or returning or if you want to get out with younger members of the family. We will ride at the pace that is suited to everyone in the group. As leaders we will ensure that no one is left behind, so that we all have an enjoyable ride.

We will be cycling along the Alban way which is a disused railway that is now accessible for cycling and walking. This is a completely paved route so is suitable for all bike types. We will be stopping for refreshments along the way.

Please remember to bring with you
- Helemt
-Spare inner tubes for your bike and appropriate tools, even if you don't know how to change an inner tube there are other people in the group to help.
-A water bottle with a drink in, cycling can be thirsty work.
- Appropriate clothing for the weather.
