From Alnmouth Train Station - In search of Charlie Marsh

This cycle route is inspired by Charlotte Marsh, militant suffragette - our ride will take her birthplace in Alnmouth village.

This ride is one of a series of rides which are a collaboration between Cycle With Jan and Breeze Women Only bike rides - our aim is to support and get more women cycling in the north east!

Fun, fun, fun with like minded women and spread the word…whats not to like!

I will be travelling by train fro m Morpeth station. Beginning from Alnmouth station west side, we will leave Alnmouth station, ride through Curly Lane, Hipsburn then onto Alnmouth village. After cycling through Alnmouth we will ride along National Cycle Network Route 1, which is a beautiful country coastal route which we expect to be quiet, taking in the sea air. We will stop for a break at Boulmer for a quick refuel and photo opportunity. There are some small undulations en route but nothing too serious! We will then return via the Lesbury community pub which is a short ride from the station if time allows.

There maybe a small amount of busyness around the station which our experienced ride leaders will navigate riders through.

You must have a helmet and please bring inner tube, water and card/cash if you want to buy refreshments.

We welcome new and returning riders and encourage you to join us on this ride and learn how to take a bike on the train ! No rider is ever left behind on Breeze rides. Breeze riders travel as a group, however if a rider decides to leave the group of their own accord they are deemed to have left the ride.
