We haven't been to Alresford for a while so I thought we'd go to the Tiffin Tearooms.

Our 50 mile route will take us through Cookham Village and Crondall and into the Hampshire Lanes. The route is undulating with a few ups and downs through Froyle, Bentworth and Medstead before arriving at Alresford for a well earned coffee and cake stop.

Our route home will take us through the Candovers and, If time allows, we will take a small detour away from the main road and through the pretty lanes to Abbotstone before rejoining the road through the Candovers. We’ll follow the valley road to Axford before turning right to Ellisfield, Herriard, Upton Grey and Odiham.

We will meet on the corner of Pale Lane outside the Barley Mow Pub at 8.55 so we are ready to set off promptly at 9.00 We are aiming to be back by 13.30 (3.5 hours cycling / 14mph average).

The wearing of a helmet is mandatory for this ride. Also, as we'll be riding for up to 2 hours before our cafe stop please bring enough food and drink to last you for the ride. Also, bring a spare inner tube and pump.

NOTE: This ride is for the more experienced rider who is capable of tackling some hills and sustaining an average speed of around 14mph over the distance.
