This Easter weekend why not join a friendly small group of people wishing to take part in a totally traffic free Guided Ride along the Allerdale coastline.

Starting from Maryport Harbour opposite The Maryport Aquarium.
All new comers to Guided Rides & new E-bike riders are especially welcomed.

On this Easter weekend ride we will be cycling at an easy going, leisurely, sociable pace suitable for beginners using a fully traffic free cycle way along the coastline. This ride has been especially designed for adult riders 16+ wishing to do more leisure cycling within a small friendly group of likeminded people.

We will start our ride from The Maryport Aquarium on the harbour side to follow along the traffic free promenade towards the golf course, once passed the club house we will be crossing the road on foot before continuing to travel along the now fully tarmacked cycle path to Allonby Beach.

On arrival in Allonby we can purchase hot drinks at the Drowsy Goose barista coffee cart on Allonby green, which will be our turn around point or wait until our return to Maryport Aquarium for take away hot drinks at their café at the end of the ride ;)

We always travel at the slowest rider's speed with encouragement & support so no one is ever left behind.
This will enhance your enjoyment of leisurely cycling within the safety of this group.

Please bring with you a lock for your bike, some money or a contactless card & a mask with you if you wish to purchase refreshments on the ride.

You will also need to bring a road worthy bike, your helmet, clothes you are comfortable cycling in, easy to remove layers work the best, a waterproof jacket, (as you never know) a cold drink & a snack for along the way if needed.

Please do not attend the ride if you have Covid symptoms, have someone in your household who does or if you have tested positive on a recent Covid test. Cancelling your place wont be a problem just let us know on the website before the ride so we are not waiting unnecessarily for you, especially if its raining.

All participants on a British cycling ride are now required to provide all their own cycle repair equipment to comply with the government's self-sufficiency rules.
So, a must is your own hand pump with the correct connection for your inner tube valve, a set of tyre levers & this seasons must have cycling accessory a spare inner tube that fits your bike.
Just in case any on the move repairs are needed to your bike while on the ride.
