An Evening Cycle around the block from Boughrood

We take the back road towards Glasbury, crossing the bridge and heading up towards Felindre. We continue to Talgarth and Bronllys, where we start our climb to the top of the hill. Here we have beautiful views down the valley overlooking the villages of Llyswen and Boughrood. We then have a sweeping downhill, followed by a short, flat return to Boughrood.

Join us on a fabulous “Breeze” bicycle ride (women only) starting and finishing in Boughrood. This ride is suitable for most riders. One climb is included but it can be tackled with plenty of time and stops to catch your breath if needed.  It will be led at a social pace, with no one left behind. A beautiful, generally easy, undulating route but it does include one hill, which will be tackled slowly. (Max. 8 participants).

We use mainly quiet, country lanes with a few busier roads where unavoidable.  Some of the lanes can be pot holed, gravely and muddy in places but with care we always find a good route around these sections. 

Plenty of opportunity to stop on route to catch your breath, have a drink and enjoy the views.  Depending on rider enthusiasm, we could stop at The Griffin Inn, Llyswen for refreshments, just before the end of the ride.

Please bring a well-maintained bicycle, wear a helmet, gloves and appropriate clothing for the weather.  Remember to carry a drink, a spare tube, puncture repair kit, lock, lights, pump and bring some money for refreshments.
