This is a very scenic ride mostly riding on cycle trails, but also some quiet roads.
On the map elevation you will observe 2 main hills to climb, but the views are worth it. We take it slow in this part and many like me will be pushing the bike up parts of the hill for a total of about 20 minutes on the day.
The ride will start at Ashbourne Mappleton Lane Car Park at 930am. This start point is at the base of the Tissington Trail. We ride up the Tissington Trail to Thorpe Station then head on quiet lanes to National Trust Ilan Park for a cafe stop. Then we ride to see the ruins of Throwley Old Hall. Then to Brown End quarry at the base of the Manifold Trail. We then ride this trail alongside the river of the valley passing Thor's cave up to to Hulme End Tea Junction for a lunch stop. We then ride down to the lovely Wolfscote dale, then up towards Hartington, then up to Biggin for a final drink stop. We rejoin the Tissinginton trail for an easy downhill run all the way to Tissington and Ashbourne.

This is a social ride together as a group. We pause the ride for punctures sustained. Ultimately riders are individually responsible for their own bike maintenance and own safety. It is always advised helmets are worn, use a bike lock, and bring tools and spares to repair a puncture etc. (Most important is bring a spare inner tube and pump). Check the ride distance, elevation, duration, terrain and bicycle type of this ride is compatible with your ability and bicycle.

Bring cash/card for cafe.

Note, to join the ride you must book on to the ride using the ‘Lets Ride’ website. Also, please check the website prior to the ride time in the event of ride cancellation
