Starting from - The starting point is Ashford International train station. Exact location will be relayed to you the day before the ride. There are a lot of car parks in the area, but space cannot be guaranteed. I do not know the area well so cannot make recommendations. However, consider travelling by train - eg from Canterbury West train station or even driving to Wye, parking up there (free parking) and travelling into Ashford by train. Join myself and Sarah on this recce ride on this new route exploring the Ashford countryside to Tenterden. This ride is reasonably flat with an occasional surprise small incline. On arrival in Tenterden, we will stop for a short break for coffee before making our return back to Ashford. This is a circular route. We will be riding through the villages of Shadoxhurst, St Michaels, Bethersden and Great Chart. We will stop to take photographs.

A ride to Tenterden from Ashford, negotiating the Ashford cycle path network and country lanes.

Cycle paths; country lanes; busier town roads.

The planned stop for coffee is in Tenterden where there is a lot of choice of coffee shops and cafes.

Helmets are compulsory on this ride. Please carry with you a spare inner tube for your bike; tools to change the inner tube and to remove the wheel; fluids; essential medication you rely upon; cash/card for car parking and refreshments; dress for the weather.
