This is a steady circular ride from Aviemore to Boat of Garten. As we set off from The Old Bridge Inn we’ll briefly follow the well maintained cycle path along the ski road before joining a landrover track through Dell Farm. We then join the B970 towards Boat of Garten which we’ll follow for approx. 6 miles, this is a steady road with only a couple of inclines. We’ll follow the road as it leads into Boat of Garten before turning off to join the Speyside Way. There’s a short section of landrover track at this point which is a little bumpy. From here we’ll continue on the gentle gravel tracks all the way back to Aviemore and if we’re lucky we may even catch a glimpse of the deer in the forest. We arrive back in Aviemore via Dalfaber Industrial Estate and will follow the road through Silverglades before returning to The Old Bridge Inn.

This is a steady ride from the centre of Aviemore following the B970 to Boat of Garten and returning via the scenic Speyside Way.

There is a mixture of terrain on this route including well maintained cycle paths, two short sections on bumpy landrover tracks, the rural B970 road and finally the gravel tracks of the Speyside Way. Due to the varied terrain, road bikes are not recommended.

We'll make a quick stop in Boat of Garten shortly after joining the Speyside Way.

Helmets are strongly recommended for this ride but not compulsory. We'll end the ride at The Old Bridge Inn so bring some cash if you'd like to join me for a post ride refreshment.

This will be a steady but sociable ride taken at a relaxed pace. We welcome women of any age and ability, no-one will be left behind.
