Starting point

Dunbartonshire
G83 0SZ

The route follows the No7 cycle path to Balloch along a flat path beside the river leven for approx 5km where we will stop and have a short break. We will then continue the ride following the No7 cycle route for about 12km out into rolling countryside along quiet single track road with some fairly steep climbs and descents. The scenery is a stunning reward for not much effort and overlooks the Southern end of Loch Lomond with Ben Lomond dominating the view. We leave the No7 cycle route to complete the loop or Horseshoe as it is known locally and return towards Bonhill bridge still on country single track roads.
We will need to pass through a residential estate and a short section of main road to arrive back at the start point of the ride
