DD1 4DB

The route follows the river on both the Dundee and Fife sides, it is mainly flat until we hit the countryside in Fife which has some gentle hills leading to Balmerino. There is under 200m of ascent in total.

Starting at Bridgeview Cafe on Riverside, rolling along Dundee Riverside and the Fife side of the Tay, and through the beautiful Fife countryside.

Riding on some shared cycle paths on riverside and the Tay road bridge, then on roads going through Newport and Wormit, heading to quiet country roads over the hill to Balmerino.

There is no cafe at Balmerino, but on the way back there are a few cafes on the route, so a cafe stop is an option and can be decided on the day.

A roadworthy bike and cycle helmet, and carrying a spare inner tube is advisable. Water and a snack for the stop at Balmerino, and money for the cafe stop. As it is Scotland you may need any or all of the following, sunscreen, rain jacket or wind jacket.

We especially welcome newbies!
