The route goes up Tom's Lane at the beginning and at the end. We also climb to Gaddesden and Berkhamstead.
The route back is along a main road - it is quite a wide road. I have cycled it loads and rarely had any issues.
Pace = we are looking for a 12+ mph pace, ideally around 13 - 14.
