we will be starting at five rise locks. heading up either *east morton and street lane or *riddlesden by the marquis of gramby and banks lane (*decided on the day) to join silsden road .
we will access low moor/high moor from a gravelled bridleway before crossing (sometimes boggy) fields to view the dew stones.
we will continue through the forest and more gravel tracks to view the doubler stones. here we will have a 10 minute break for photos / chance to climb them.
we continue on a cemented track to join lightbank lane where we descend and cross to lippersley lane (often very muddy) which eventually descends to the the a6034 bolton road.
we cycle left for a short 200m section of this busy road before turning right towards onto cringles lane. we carry on quiet country roads walkers lane, kit lane, new lane before descending to farnhill and a cafe stop 40 mins at kildwick.
we will return to our start point along the canal .

* this ride will be weather dependant*

not suitable for road tyres / suspension a definite advantage / there will be one big UP !

a trip to see the famous dew stones and doubler stones and return via kildwick (after cafe stop) along the canal.

40% traffic free. rough gravel, grass, and forest tracks. there could be mud !! suspension and chunky tyres advised due to the difficult terrain

photo opportunities at the stones and a cafe stop in kildwick for a catch up chat

usual, helmet , gloves, spares for your bike , money for cafe, wet weather clothing. mud guards an advantage.

welcome to come along but please be prepared for the terrain and exposure to the elements.
