Starting point

BN20 7XL

Helen Garden, Bedes School end.

Off road riding along bridlepaths over Downland, with amazing views and wild flower meadows. You need to have a bike that can withstand off road riding ie: tyres with tread, good brakes and front suspension is preferable. This will not be suitable for absolute beginners, the tracks are uneven and rutted, hills and mix of chalk, grass and stones. It is a non-technical ride and is suitable for those who would like to experience trail riding for the first time. We will only be doing this ride if the weather is suitable.. dry! This route will follow the cliffs to Belle Tout and we will stop at the Tiger for refreshments before heading back across country to the top of the A259 at the Golf club and down into Eastbourne. This is not a circular route but I am starting and finishing in Old Town if you want to drop a car off and cycle from there. Please bring drinking water, an inner tube for the size tyres you have and money for the pub. ** This ride is only taking place if the weather is fair. Please check close to the date.
