Bedfont Lakes Country Park

This is a new route, visiting an extensive country park area, surprisingly green & peaceful, just a couple of miles away from Heathrow. This is a train-assisted ride on the return.

From Ealing, we ride down through Brentford, Syon Park & Isleworth, then take back roads to Twickenham and join the Crane River Path. We might have a brief refreshment stop at the Shot Tower, before riding on through Hanworth Park and Feltham, to reach Bedfont Country Park.

We will have time to explore the Park and have a picnic lunch.

* Please note that there is no café in the Park, only a shop selling a limited range of soft drinks & sweets. You will need to bring a packed lunch. *

For our return, we will ride a short distance to Ashford station, where we will take the South West Trains service to Brentford. Direct trains are two per hour, and the journey time is approx. 20 minutes. From Brentford, we have a short ride back to Ealing.

Ride through the Crane River Park and on through Hanworth Park & Feltham to Bedfont Lakes Country Park. Return by train from Ashford to Brentford.

Quieter roads where possible; traffic free tracks & shared paths on riverside trails and in parks; off road tracks through Country Park; some short stretches of busier roads.

Food & water- there is no cafe in Bedfont Lakes. Money/card for train fare.
